Pat and Jim Rabon are Professional Organizers and owners of A to Y Organizing L.C. "The Answer to Your Organizing needs" located in Houston. We serve all of Houston (inside the beltway including Bellaire, West University, areas in the West (Katy), and the southwest of Houston, (including Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford, Richmond, Pearland, Friendswood, and League City). 

We love helping people organize their homes, offices and businesses. We also help people get ready to move and then settle them into their new home. Organizing a home or business needs to be simple and we can have fun doing it together. When we are finished helping you with an area everything should have a place and you should be able to find your belongings.

Here is a little about Pat: Even when she was young she enjoyed organizing. Pat’s mother would give her a button jar she used for sewing and she would sort them based on size, color and shape. Growing up her room was always neat. The first job she had was a radiology technologist with a doctor who had three offices and was never organized. Pat had to get the offices organized and running smooth. She not only did her work as an x-ray tech but became his office manager. Before Pat started working full time as an organizer, she organized people and businesses on weekends. Referrals from people she worked with kept her busy.

Then one day Pat came home and told my Jim that she wanted to quit her job and work full time as an organizer. Was he surprised since he had just retired 2 months earlier. Pat  has been organizing full time every since and even has Jim organizing with her. Pat loves to help people get rid of the stress and frustration that clutter creates in their lives.

Over the last six years it has been fantastic to do what she loves. She is truly living a “Doctor Phil moment”. Phil says you should live your passion. Pat is having fun helping people organize their homes from top to bottom. Every closet, bathroom, bedroom, dining room, kitchen, garage and home office can be more organized. Many of her clients try to organize themselves and just make organizing too complicated. Pat believes that you need to keep organizing simple and have a home for everything that you own. Sometimes a client will call her up a day or two after they have had an organizing session and say “I can’t find this item”. As she walks them though their organizing plan, they are amazed that they can figure out where the item is. Organizing makes sense. Things have a home.

Pat works closely with ADD and chronically disorganized clients. She participates in several support groups, attending meetings to better understand the special needs of her clients. We have worked with many clients’ therapists. She really enjoys the satisfaction that these clients get from seeing the clutter disappear from their lives.

Pat has helped a lot of businesses organize their offices, storage areas and merchandising rooms. Being able to see your inventory and having a way to not duplicate orders is invaluable. It is really surprising how many other areas that she finds where a business needs recommendations that will make work more efficient. Organizing can help work flow. A good filing system is invaluable and time effective.

If you need a speaker, Pat also gives presentations on organizing. She will prepare a topic just for your group. She also does roundtable open talks with various organizations.

Jim is Pat’s husband (the former pack rat). He started by helping Pat on a lot of projects and now does a lot of organizing himself. He is the past President of the National Association of Professional Organizers Houston Chapter.

If you need help in moving he can help you. He takes the frustration out of moving. If you do not have time to move he can handle all the details and help you get ready, even stage your home for a quicker sale. What ever you are too busy to do or do not want to do he can do it for you. He can help you get ready for your move, supervise your movers, unpack and organize your belongings so life is more enjoyable and the move is less stressful. Because of this experience he also developed a moving package for the business. There is a moving resource manual that gives you a detailed moving checklist to follow.  If you need to know if your present furniture will fit into your new living space, one can be printed. We can also do inventories using paper and photo records. Call Jim if you have any special moving needs, he will be glad to listen.  Let us make your move a good experience.

Jim organizes office store rooms, sales promotion areas, and other office organizing. Many offices have either old marketing material cluttering up their offices or it is spread all over the place and he can get it all together for you. He has held seminars for businesses and given presentations to many audiences where he uses his past management skills from his many years working with multimillion dollar corporations.  Jim has helped a lot of people organize their computers. If you need: a computer filing systems, help with Quicken, help backing up computers, setting up PayPal or E bay accounts he can get you started.

One of his hobbies is restoring cars. This comes in handy when people want their garages and workshops organized because he spends a lot of time in his garage and workshop and knows how important it is to know where everything is located when you do a project.

If you need something installed Jim can do it or have a company do most of the work depending on what is needed. Remember if you need a garage organized the best time to do one is in the cooler months.
